information about the workshop

For everyone who is looking for a freediving experience at home.

As a specialized one SHARE Pressure Balancing Instructor, my vision is to help you with your pressure balancing for deep diving. Whether it's 5, 10 or 100m, your dives will be more confident, professional and safe. I would like to show you a key and way how you can master the pressure equalization chronologically and systematically.

You won't hear from me that you just need to "relax" and the pressure equalization will work on its own.

Contents

The workshop begins before the workshop at the lake.

I will conduct two video calls with you via Zoom with all participants of this workshop in advance.

I am the first German speaker to consecrate this to you SHARE pressure equalization teacher in the first two lessons to make it easier for you to get started with this new method and together we know what we are talking about. The online meetings usually last 1.5 hours per video call.

We discuss the theory, do special exercises, form a new basis, train our motor skills and are then ready for the lake.

Afterwards, in this 3-day workshop we will cover the main points of pressure equalization from instinctive and evolved Frenzel.

Every day we start in the morning right on Apostle- or Matschelsee with a short welcome to the daily program and a stretching session with various exercises for the full and empty lungs, alternating breathing and body stretching, as we practice again and again.

Then you go into the water for a session of up to 2 hours, depending on the number of participants.

In the water, I will respond individually and flexibly to the relevant technical focal points. The nice thing about it is that we don't have to dive too deep with these special exercises, so it's possible for all levels to practice and develop their pressure equalization.

After the session, we drive straight to the school in Teningen to have lunch in the "Dahab Lounge" where we can get a holiday feeling like in the Orient.

At each theory unit, we will discuss the exercises from the daily session and deepen our knowledge of pressure equalization in a structured way.

After the last session we reflect on the last few days and I'll give you a hand on how best to train for yourself beyond the workshop.

You can watch your videos from the dives as they will help re-analyze key points and you may keep your videos as souvenirs.

At the end of the day we can end the day together with a BBQ or in a restaurant of your choice.

Apostelsee

A jewel of our region, small but nice. The Apostelsee is very popular and offers the best conditions for deep diving in the lake. It can be found very quickly and, with a depth of 40m, offers ideal conditions for training. His view is outstanding and so it can be as high as 15m on a good day.

The surface temperature increases over the summer. So the breath-up is at a pleasant 23 to 25 degrees before it goes down to cool down on hot days. It is still bright at 40m and the thermocs are constant at 10, 20 and 30m.

Matschelsee

The Matschelsee is located near Lahr in the Ortenau and is the big brother of the Apostelsee.

It is therefore larger in terms of area and, at almost 50m, deeper, but is in no way inferior to the Apostelsee in terms of visibility.

The surface temperature is similar to that of the Apostelsee and increases over the summer. The breath-up is the same at a pleasant 23 to 25 degrees. On the ground, however, it is already getting a bit twilight here. Due to the fact that it is larger and deeper in terms of area, it can be slightly colder than the Apostelsee. The thermocline behaves similarly.

Black Forest

The Black Forest is a mountainous region bordering France in south-west Germany. It is known for its dense, evergreen forests and picturesque villages. It is often associated with the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. The Black Forest is famous for its spas and cuckoo clocks, which have been produced in the region since the 18th century. The largest city in the region is Freiburg, surrounded by vineyards. Here visitors can admire numerous Gothic buildings.

Catering and accommodation

The Herbolzheim area offers many restaurants, supermarkets and cafés in almost every town. We can recommend a few restaurants and so there is everything from German home cooking, Italian, Thai and Chinese restaurants much that the palate longs for. For more detailed information just let us know during the workshop.

There are many options for staying in the region, guesthouses, Airbnb and campsites. We recommend all places between Teningen and Ettenheim. The vine in Malterdingen is a good option. For all campers there are beautiful pitches overlooking the lake for the sunset at a winery (see picture).
