Stretching has proven to promote beside our physical well-being especially also our mental health. It should be more consciously integrated into our daily live because it stimulates the blood circulation , relaxes the muscles and reduces stress. We feel more liberated and the body awareness increases.


Many freedivers have their stretching routine also to increase flexibility and glide more efficiently through the water. But it serves, especially in deep diving, to stay as relaxed as possible despite increasing pressure. Many breathing exercises from yoga have the focus on conscious breathing. In freediving we use this knowledge and additionally feel into the active body stretching . This means that we stretch while holding our breath.

To do this, there are specific exercises that I guide you through in this video. You prevent injuries and help to ensure that the lungs continue to be protected over the time when you do not have access to Deepdiving and the lungs remain strengthened.
