FREEDIVING INSTRUCTOR & COACH
Teaching Freediving Means Taking Responsibility
Years of teaching and competition experience, international expertise and a clear educational philosophy shape his approach as a freediving instructor and educator.
Fabio Tunno's journey into freediving began with scuba diving. As a qualified scuba diving instructor with a technical academic background, he discovered freediving during a trip around the world while in Mexico – initially out of curiosity, but soon with a growing sense of purpose.
After several years working as an engineer, he made a conscious decision to take time away from his career and explore how far he could develop as a freediver. This experience laid the foundation for his approach to teaching today: structured, thoughtful and guided by a strong commitment to quality and responsibility.

Fabio Tunno combines a technical education with years of hands-on experience and international expertise. His background as a scuba diving instructor and engineer continues to shape his structured and analytical approach to diving.
After making the conscious decision to dedicate himself more fully to freediving, he pursued further qualifications, intensive training and international competition experience. Not as ends in themselves, but as meaningful steps in his own development.
Today, these experiences directly shape his work as an instructor: structured teaching, professional safety standards and an approach tailored to each individual – rather than numbers, comparisons or external expectations.
Experience isn't showcased here. It's shared.
Fabio Tunno sees teaching as a process, not simply a series of exercises. Clear structures, understandable steps and a calm learning environment are essential to his approach.
Progress happens when technique, breathing and mental calmness work together. That's why Fabio adapts the content and pace to each individual – without comparisons, performance pressure or shortcuts.
For Fabio, being an instructor means taking responsibility: for safety, for the learning process and for the decisions made in the water.

Good teaching starts with dialogue. Fabio approaches people not through performance or expectations, but with attention, clarity and honest feedback.
Different goals, levels of experience and how you feel on any given day are all part of the learning process. That's why training is never about comparison, but about individual guidance – with patience, structure and respect.
This creates a learning environment where personal growth becomes possible – safely, mindfully and without pressure.
Fabio Tunno is more than an instructor. He plays a key role in shaping the educational philosophy and teaching approach of Fabiolous Freediving. His responsibilities include maintaining high training standards, continuously improving them and ensuring that course content is structured in a meaningful way.
As an instructor and mentor, he supports students at every level of experience – from their first steps in freediving to performance-focused development. Rather than concentrating on individual training sessions, his approach emphasizes long-term learning and progress.
Within the team, Fabio takes responsibility for education, safety and teaching methods. Decisions are made collaboratively, with the shared goal of building a strong and reliable freediving school.
Whether you're just starting out, looking to develop your skills or have specific questions, a personal conversation is the best way to find the right path for you. No pressure, no obligation.
