Technique & Efficiency

You'll work on improving your diving and breathing techniques. Streamlining, efficient movement and controlled procedures will help you dive more comfortably and efficiently.

Safety & Procedures

A key part of the course is learning how to manage depth safely, apply effective buddy systems and follow clear open-water procedures. You'll develop the skills to take responsibility for yourself and others.

Mental Control

The course helps you stay calm and focused underwater. You'll learn to recognize tension, consciously release it and approach each dive with greater control.

The AIDA 3 / SSI Advanced Freediver course lays the foundation for independent, mindful and responsible freediving.

Depth Comes Through Technique & Control

The AIDA 3 / SSI Advanced Freediver course isn't about diving deeper – it's about diving with greater control.

As you dive deeper, technique, body tension and mental calmness become increasingly important. Small inaccuracies have a greater impact than they do at beginner level.

This course helps you refine your movements, improve your body control and develop a clear structure for every dive – from descent to a safe return to the surface.

Proper descent and ascent techniques

Efficient use of body tension and gliding phases

Course Structure at a Glance

The AIDA 3 / SSI Advanced Freediver course follows a structured learning process. Theory, pool training and open-water sessions are carefully integrated, allowing you to build your skills step by step. The course is adapted to your individual pace and current skill level.

1. Advanced Theory & Preparation

We begin by deepening your theoretical understanding of freediving and introducing essential concepts for safe and independent diving in open water.

The focus is on clear procedures, a strong understanding of safety and preparing you to make responsible decisions independently.

2. Pool Training – Refining Your Technique

In the controlled environment of the pool, you'll further develop your technique, breathing rhythm and movement efficiency. The focus is on precise, controlled execution – without performance pressure.

Pool training helps you consolidate new skills in a safe environment before applying them in open water.

3. Open Water – Controlled Application

In open water, you'll gradually apply the techniques and procedures you've learned. Depth progression is controlled and adapted to how you feel on the day – not as a goal in itself, but as a result of thorough preparation.

The focus is on clear descent and ascent procedures as well as safe buddy and rescue protocols.

4. Reflection & Integration

This step is essential for developing long-term safety, independence and confidence in your freediving skills.

The course follows a clear structure while allowing room for individual adjustments, breaks and personal development.
